Happy Birthday to the Triplets

Sitting here I have many emotions going through my head. Excitement that I am actually going to be travelling and seeing some amazing places in the next couple of weeks starting tomorrow morning! I am going to Berlin Germany, Salzburg Austria, and Amsterdam Netherlands.
We had a super fun time the last couple of days celebrating the 4th birthday of Sierra, Michael and Jonathan. There was so much excitement for them...that I bet it felt a little overwhelming at times. On a side note...these kids now have enough candy to last them till their next birthday!!! Please people no more candy!!! But they did get some really neat toys, clothes, and educational toys too!

Do you know how hard it is to hide everything birthday related from 3 4year olds???!!!

So Friday was their actual birthday and they had a fun day! A couple of days before they helped with the making of their piñata. As you can imagine how dirty they got...BUT had so much fun doing it!

Then Michael...thought he was a piñata!!!

Michael's new word this week is: ACTUALLY
He is putting it in every other sentence!!! It's hard not to laugh

The Finished Product!!! Mickey on one side & Minnie on the other. Rosa was very proud of herself!!! I am proud of her too!! She did an amazing job...even if it did take a couple of tries :)

La  Paloma & the Library

We arrived at the Benalmedena Library with great excitement. As we walked to the front entrance we discovered that there was a rather large peacock that had perched itself on one of the windowsills. It was indeed a site to see!!!!

Books, Books, and more Books!

Playing in the La Paloma park (just behind the library).
Looking for the bunny in the bush!

It's been so HOT here that we have been swimming a lot more. The kids love swimming and they are getting so brave. Jumping in the big pool with their water wings. And they want to do that again and again and again!! They also like to play in the kids pool at the apartment complex and play alligator. Which means that either Rosa or myself is the alligator and we are on our stomachs creeping up to them and capturing them!! With lots of giggles to follow!! Or they ride on our backs...and we make them fall off.
The other day while playing with Michael in the pool he turns to me and says "You are not real"!!! I said "What?" He repeated it a few different times. So I turned to him and said..."Well you are rubber!!"  What a kid!!

Big Birthday Party!!

They had many friends come to their birthday party and they had lots of fun. We had Pin the Tail on Eeyore, a treasure hunt, and the piñata. Cake, ice cream, fruit salad, punch and water. AND Presents!!! Here a few pictures.

Don't worry that's just a wig that David has on!! Just for the scavenger hunt!

They found the treasure box :)

By the end of the day they were high on sugar and super tired!! But they had a blast.

Now I am off on an adventure for a little bit. I will be coming back to Spain. Then heading back to Canada and arrive there on September 14th. Yes a little bit earlier than planned but that is ok! I came here and I accomplished what the Smith family needed. And now I am heading home. I am very grateful for the opportunity I had in coming here to help this dear family. They have truly grown on me and I am going miss them. I am sure I will leave a piece of my heart here in Spain...Good thing I have a big heart!!!  Love you guys :)
